The King and Queen of Egypt in Alabaster tones, oil on canvas, 3x4 ft. This one painting has been reversed here to show the ability to exhibit it either way with either the queen or king at the top or bottom. It is a mirror polarity painting indicative of the harmony and balance of the sexes. These images were taken from the alabaster canopis jars (where the internal organs of the mummified were placed) and painted with complementary colors as well. Fall 1999, SDSU
